Something about me:

I have been involved with sport and in particular rowing all my life. My Father rowed at Cambridge University and in the 50's coached his College crews as well as the Goldie crew.

I started rowing after leaving school learning to row at my local club. On going to University I rowed for my College (University College London) for a year and then the University of London for 4 years, elected president of the club in 1969.

After leaving University I rowed for London Rowing Club. I am a Patron of the University of London Rowing Club, a member of London Rowing Club, The Leander Club and a member of Stewards at Henley Royal Regatta.

My wife and I emigrated to New Zealand and family commitments took me away from the sport from 1974 to 1996.

I joined Clifton Rowing Club (Taranaki) in 1996 and elected president in 1997, a position I held until 2013. I was elected Rowing New Zealand's Domestic Commissioner and became a Director of Rowing New Zealand in 2002 stepping down in 2012.

My interests in photography really took off when I started the Rowing New Zealand website in 1996 and needed images for the site - the early days of digital photography. Since then I have covered many of the major regattas.

I am now covering the major regattas on behalf of clubs and Schools and take on a limited number of team commissions for these regattas.
